Author Guidelines
Guidelines for Writing Industrial Systems Engineering and Management Journals since published in 2022.
1. Introduction
The Industrial Systems Engineering and Management Journal is a multidisciplinary scientific journal published by PT. Amalia Safari. At the national level, there are many general problems or issues related to Industrial Engineering sciences. The publication of this journal aims to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of Industrial Engineering. Journal of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, the editorial board invites you to submit your manuscript for publication in this journal. The writing guide is attached here.
Communication regarding the revision of the article and the final statement will be informed via email to the correspondent author only. If there is more than one author, the author's name must be written separated by a comma (,). If the author's name consists of at least two words, the first name should not be abbreviated. If the author's name is only one word, then it must be written as is. However, in the online version, it will be written in two words with the same name repeatedly for metadata indexing purposes.
2. General Guidelines for Manuscripts
The general guidelines for manuscript manuscripts are as follows:
- Manuscripts are authentic research results that have never been published in other publications or publishers
- The manuscript does not contain elements of plagiarism. Editors will immediately reject texts that indicate plagiarism.
- The submission and publication process is free, at no additional cost.
- Manuscripts that have been written with the guidelines of the Industrial Systems Engineering and Management Journal (in MS Word format, use this article template) must be submitted via the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the Industrial Systems Engineering Journal and Management E-journal Portal ( HTTP: //journal-jisem.com/index.php/jisem/about/submissions ). Then, register as one of the authors.

- Manuscripts for online submissions can be found in the online submission guidelines section below.
- Manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines for writing the Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management will be returned to the author before the review process.
- Manuscripts must contain several aspects of scientific articles as follows: (subtitles in order), namely: (a) article title, (b) author's name (without academic degree), (c) author's affiliated address, (d) author's email (e) abstract and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) research method (h), research results and discussion (i), conclusion (j), references.
- Subtitles are included in the discussion section (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusions). Subtitles are written in bold and capital letters. It uses left text alignment without underlining. Subsequently expanded subtitles must be in bold and uppercase, using left text alignment. Manuscripts must consist of six (6) to fifteen (15) pages including figures and tables. Script text should be written as this article template in camera-ready mode. Articles are written on A4 size paper (210x297 mm), with the following special margins: left 30 mm, right 20 mm, bottom 30 mm, and top 30 mm.
- Article text must use Times New Roman, font size 11pt, spaced 1 line, separated into two columns (except the main title, author's name, and abstract) with a distance between columns of 10 mm.
- Words from a foreign language or foreign language are written in Italic format. For articles in the Indonesian language, foreign terms or words should be avoided. Each paragraph starts 10mm from the left side border while there is no space between paragraphs. All numbers are written in Arabic numbering format, except for new sentences.
- Tables and figures are placed in groups of text after the table or figure to which they are referenced. Each image must be captioned (Image Caption) below the image and numbered in numbering format with the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered in a numbering format above the table followed by the table title. Image attachments must be guaranteed to be printed properly (font size, resolution, and line spacing are clearly visible). Images, tables, and charts should be centered between groups of text. If it has a larger size, it can be placed in the center of the page. The table must not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points.
3. Script Body Text Guidelines
The title of the manuscript must be written at the top of the first page with the text centered. While the author's name (without an academic degree), and the author's affiliation address are written in the middle of the text also below the article title. Authors must leave a space of one line between the title and the author's name. Then, the space between the author's affiliation address and the abstract title is one space. Keywords should be listed below the overall abstract for all words. They must be arranged in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons of a maximum of three to five words.
Title of manuscript: The title should be informative and written in a concise and clear manner. Cannot have multiple interpretations. It must be appropriate to the problem to be discussed. The initial word is written in capital letters and is symmetrical. Article titles do not contain unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written down first and followed by an explanation. The font is 17pt , with bold options and in centered text format. While the abstract must be written in a maximum of 250 words and followed by three to five keywords.
Introduction: The introduction should contain (briefly and sequentially) the general background and state of the art as the basis for new research questions, statements of new scientific articles, main research problems, and hypotheses. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of writing the article should be stated. In scientific article format, it is not allowed to write references as in research reports. They should be represented in the literature review to indicate a brand new scientific article.
Research Methods: Methods applied to solve problems, including analytical methods. The methods used in solving research problems are described in this section.
Discussion and Results: This section consists of the results of the research and how they were discussed. The results obtained from the research must be supported by adequate data. Research results and findings must be the answers or research hypotheses that have been stated previously in the introduction.
Conclusion: This is the last section which contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the hypothesis, research objectives, and research findings. Conclusions should not only contain repetition of results and discussion. Must be a summary of research results as expected by the author in the research objectives or hypotheses. Suggestions contain suggestions related to further ideas from the research.
References: All references used in the article should be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and at least 80% of all references). Each article must have at least twenty references .
5. Quotation and Reference Guidelines
All data or citations presented in articles taken from articles by other authors must attach a reference source. References should use a reference management application such as Mendeley , EndNote , or Zotero . The writing format used in the Journal of Industrial Systems and Management follows the format adopted by the IEEE style .

7. Guidelines for Online Submission of Manuscripts
Manuscripts must be submitted by one of two systems (second procedure submitted is preferred):
- The document submitted by Online Submission System in the Journal of Industrial Systems and Management E-journal portal HERE.
- First, the author must register as an author or reviewer (check the role as author or reviewer) on Register or HERE.
- After the registration step is completed, log in as an author, click in New Submission. The article submission stage consists of five stages, such as: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
- In the Start column, choose Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.
- In the Upload Submission Columns, upload the manuscript files in MSWord format in this column.
- In the Enter Metadata columns, fill in with all the author data and affiliation. Including the Journal Title, Abstract, Indexing Keywords and References.
- In the Upload Supplementary Files columns, the author is allowed to upload supplementary files, the statement letter, or any other else.
- In the Confirmation column , if the data you have entered are correct, then click Finish Submission .
